The Well Mural

Maed Studio created "A Neighborhood Stroll," a vibrant five-panel mural for The Well in Toronto's Dog Lane. This playful design celebrates the city's love for dogs and cultural diversity, enhancing the space with a fun, photo-friendly spot.

Vibrant and colorful mural panels depicting abstract figures and scenes installed on a brick wall at The Well commercial project in Toronto. This artwork showcases the unique and playful design style of Maed Studio, reflecting the local culture and community.
The Well is a retail, commercial, and residential development in Toronto that spans across Spadina, Front, and Wellington. Created by RioCan REIT and Allied Properties REIT, this new addition to Toronto is making waves across the city with its innovative and modern architecture, bringing an exciting mix of restaurants, retail stores, and condos all in one.
When The Well asked us to create a 5-panel mural for their dog lane, we jumped at the opportunity. We worked closely with the team to come up with a vibrant and playful design that gave a nod to Toronto being a fashion-forward, full-of-life city.
These 5 panels, each measuring 3' x 9', were first painted in a studio space by us and then installed by a professional company in a staggered format to reflect the placement of The Well's logo. We named this art installation "A Neighborhood Stroll" as we wanted to create something that showcased different types of dogs living harmoniously in an urban landscape.
Through simplistic shapes and bold patterns, the dogs were meant to stand out in their own individualistic styles, highlighting the city's love for dogs as well as the diversity of cultures and ethnicities that make up Toronto. The final product resulted in a cool and fun space to bring your dog when you're finished shopping and take a photo or two!
