The Stone-water Murals

The trailers at The Stonewater have been transformed into stunning works of art, thanks to the expert craftsmanship of Maed Studio. Each trailer surrounding this newly renovated boutique motel tells a unique story, reflecting the local natural elements that define the beauty of the Sunshine Coast, B.C.

Maed Studio embarked on a creative journey to The Stonewater, a serene destination nestled among towering Douglas firs and ancient cedars. The four vintage trailers at this redefined motel have been transformed with stunning murals that wrap around their exteriors.
With careful attention to both the brand's identity and the unique natural elements of this beautiful corner of B.C., Maed Studio brought to life bold, minimalist, folk-art-inspired murals.

Each design is a harmonious blend of simplicity and meaning, infused with the spirit of the surrounding wilderness. It also reflects the visual narrative that ties the interiors of each trailer to the natural wonders of this corner of the Sunshine Coast.
Given the diverse materials of the trailer exteriors, each surface was treated with precision. For instance, the trailer featuring a vibrant yellow mural is made of fiberglass, so it was first primed with an oil-based bonding primer before receiving a durable exterior metal oil base coat, followed by a high-quality top coat.
These once nondescript trailers have been transformed into inviting, visually compelling landmarks that not only elevate the property’s aesthetic but also reinforce a cohesive brand identity throughout this expansive, nature-filled retreat.
